I remember smoking in McDonald's in 1988 in Liverpool.
Actually have a cool little aluminum McDonald's ashtray somewhere in a box in my attic.
It was also the first two story McDonald's I'd been in.
They even had beer! Oddly, it wasn't called McBeer on the menu board.
