That's the Hotel Pontchartrain in Detroit. It was built in 1907 and torn down in 1920:

ETA: Basically, you're looking at what made feminism possible. All these labor-saving devices gave women plenty of leisure time to sit around and think about how awful they had it.

Possibly. She had some nice funbags.

I just remember Deacon's persona matching what he is representing in the ad. Been years but I seem to recall him on the Dick Van Dyke show.
