Who needs grandkinds? I have a niece & nephews who grew up and had a great niece and great nephews!

Seriously though, when I started having serious health problems in my mid-thirties, I just quit dating. Broke off the relationship I was in, and really never got serious about anyone form that point on.

Kept working two jobs when I could and actually had two good careers. Just never got married or had kids. If the right woman comes along now I could see myself in a relationship, but, at 67 years old it would be more for companionship than anything else.

ETA: I'm taking care of my 91 year old mom now. I moved back over here when my dad had a couple of strokes, to help her take care of him. I'm going to stay with her as long as I can take care of her at home. I couldn't do that if I had a family.

There are lots of rich widows at my church, but most are about 10 years older than I am. Maybe I'll marry one of them in the future!

Did I mention I've never changed a diaper?
