Yeah, when I first started posting over here he recognized my handle and told me who he was. He was a good dude, sad to hear of his passing.

Are you talking about barstool or before? I was posting on there when barstool bought them out and there were no Yankees on there. Unless Texans are yankees. Of course, the website shut down when they got bought out.

You have never heard of Footjoy?

The others I can understand. They are usually sold in very upscale gun range stores. The one I go to has an apparel shop. Most people who wear the Rodd & Gunn , Gen Teal, and Southern Pointe clothes are avid field shooters. They are just brands that actually reflect an interest one has. They are distinctive brands that are easily recognizable to upper management/executive level men in my industry who also love to bird hunt or shoot sporting clays.

Ever heard of Jack Mason watches? Those are sold a lot in the upscale field apparel stores also.

Again, a lot of these companies like that have the same suppliers and they just sew their logo on them.

Do you bring your spaniels with you to work to let everyone know you're an upland bird hunter?

Nope. I don't care to own the dogs and pay thousands to send them to obedience school and training. But I know a few who do that, LOL!

Very true. I dabbled for a little while in creating my own brand of athletic apparel. I spent many a late night skyping with factory reps in China working on specs.. One factory I bought compression shirts from for 7 on 7 camps used to be contracted to do UA stuff and did mine to the same spec from material to cutting and stitching. It is almost all the same.

There are a few brands that I like. Covey and Paddle, Southern Pointe, WM Lamb and Son and Over Under Clothing. Check them out. Nothing frat guy about them at all.
