Hate the late page 5 reply, but..
Had a similar deal with my kid(s), just have to roll with it with some semblance of standards.
Most likely your kid will grow out of it just fine or else some instruction later will be better.
Do you even remember shite you were doing at 8,9,10? I barely do. And I kick arse.
