I want to start one of these programs soon but I'm not sure which one. I don't really know anything about them except they are highly effective when followed correctly.
I'm 6'2 220 lbs. I gained 35 lbs in the first six months out of college bc I couldn't afford a gym and I was living with family and it was difficult stocking the fridge with anything not horrible for you. On top of that I had surgery on my foot in December and I've only been cleared to resume exercise on it for about a month.
I've been back in the gym since then and I've lost about 8 lbs but I really want to get back to around 185-190.
How much do these programs run?

Just got finished with Insanity Max Interval Plyo. Love watching the heart rate monitor count the calories.

Go to beachbody.com. They have the prices listed on there but I think drtyger can hook up a discount.

At this rate, I'm gonna have a ripped OT army on my hands in about 90 days.

Is the P90x3 basic enough or is it really worth it to get one of the more upgraded packages?

Challenge Packs are the best deal.

I just did first video of T25, Cardio. I didnt realize how out of shape I am until this afternoon. My god, I couldnt move my legs after the video bc my hip flexors were cramping badly. Hopefully it gets better bc I feel as though im not able to go balls to the wall bc of my hip flexors. Any advice on how to strengthen these?

Just finished day 2... Ouch!!!

So which do you personally recommend between x3 and T25
Posted on 3/11/14 at 9:33 pm to UMRealist
Depends on what your goals are. T25 is a lot of cardio, fast paced with some weights. Very good for losing fat.
P90X3 has a lot more weights in it with a good bit of cardio but not as intense as T25. Good for fat burning but also good for getting stronger and getting cut.
Mr. Mom, day 2 of what? What workout did you do?

Hmm I would probably go with T25. I'm more concerned with losing fat. I've built muscle up from scratch before but I've never had to lose this much damn fat.
Eta: actually what's the point of being thin with no muscle? I would do x3

P90x3. I need to lose a lot of weight, probably 40 to 50 lbs. I play tennis 4 times a week, but eat terribly. For whatever reason, working out makes me eat 1000x better. I feel like crap right now b/c I'm so sore, but I feel great at the same time. A lot of the moves are difficult for me, but who cares? I'm at home and nobody is watching. I'll be in Turks and Caicos in June and I need to look good! Probably started too late, but I'm going to give it my best.
