Look up Tony's bean soup recipes. Freaking delicious.

I also take creatine and BCAA's only because I've read studies that show these have a proven benefit in muscle recovery.
Yep. Creatine and a pre-workout (if you need it) beforehand, with some simple sugars and a scoop of whey. Then another scoop of whey and BCAAs after the workout. Then casein before bed time. Pretty much what the bodybuilders do it seems.

No, that's one scoop of R&R formula with once scoop of strawberry or vanilla shakeology.

Body Beast has a seriously delicious chili recipe in it's book. Made with ground turkey.

I was looking at getting Body Beast today but they didn't have a full package deal with equipment. Kind of disappointing.

You probably already have everything you need besides and EZ bar with plates and maybe a bench.

Yeah, but I was trying to get new bands too.

Fell off the wagon with both working out and diet over the last couple of weeks. Trying to get myself on track, but it's tough when life just decides to teabag your face while simultaneously shitting all over you.

I don't use the ez bar and plates. I use bands and dumbells. I can tell a huge difference in my body after 1 week. I'm freaking sore though.

Looking to start on one of these workout plans but wanting to know what is the best for me.
Background: mid 20s, was going to the gym 5 days a week back in the winter for cardio and light lifting but stopped recently with it being summer. Looking to lose about 15 pounds and get rid of a gut. A 30-45 minute workout would be preferred and I have zero equipment currently.
What's the best plan the OT gurus have in mind?

Both of these programs could help you lose the weight.
With T25 you will need a little less equipment, but it is a higher percentage of cardio and less resistance training. You do need a few weights or bands to do T25 though.

Depends on a lot of things, really.
Do you want a rigid plan? What's your experience level? What do you have to spend? Do you belong to the gym still?
As a general proposition, if you want to lose weight, you have to up your caloric burn and lower your caloric intake. Simple enough, but not always easy to execute.
First: download the myfitnesspal app. It will give you at least a rough estimate of your caloric intake on a daily basis.
Second: after determining your caloric intake, determine how many calories you need to burn. I think it's something like burn 300 calories a day more than you take in if you want to lose a pound a week, which is a healthy loss.
You will be surprised how many calories a day you take in, particularly if you are not paying any attention and eat a bunch of shite.
Just by eating better you'll see the weight come off some.
I'd ramp up the cardio. Swimming and running are the most effective, simple cardio workouts. You'll probably drop your weight quickly. May not lose all of your gut, but it will probably come off some. That's where I'd start.

This doesn't really apply to this thread, but I thought I'd share.
I started week 4 of Insanity yesterday. Feel great physically and mentally. Haven't really lost much on the scale 10 or so pounds, but that wasn't my goal. My goal was to feel better and get healthier. I haven't really altered my diet drastically. I don't eat junk, eat a few quality meals a day and drink plenty of water. Beer on the weekends.
Overall it's been great. I've been doing my workouts outside in the heat and man I sweat my arse off.

Dude, 10 lbs is a ton of weight. Strong work.

Thanks Dr.
No. Rest week is next week. It's 4 weeks, then a rest week, then 4 max weeks. I'm interested to see how more intense the second half is.
