I do recall rockets claim to eating ice and burgers all while maintaining 10% bf.. And of course I still think it's complete BS unless his metabolic rate is not human ...

I think he's all got some inflammatory shite to say in any workout related thread

Dr, He is right. You can eat burgers and ice cream and maintain a low level of bodyfat. It is not that hard either as long as you are getting the macros you need and keeping your calories in check you can eat whatever you want. I also agree with him that shakeology is a rip off.

This is the IIFYM stuff that I'm not sold on.

And he was claiming you can eat 10,000 calories a day of crappy food, which you probably can if you're Michael Phelps.

I disagree, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

well after the incessant recommendations of shakeology and fiber cleanses - something needed to be said because that stuff is a total waste of $$$.

not to be mention, there is nothing wrong with enjoying a Burger and Ice cream if it fits your macros. basic science really, which he seems to disregard (for whatever reason)

Just stay consistent. Life can get in the way a lot. My job is stressfull and causes me to fall off the wagon for short periods of time sometimes. But don't get discouraged by it, get motivated by it.

Dr I'm on week 2 of Asylum. Not really keeping every day consistent bc I'm starting to run a little more. Im a day or two behind I think.

I think the preaching of Shakeology is about the only thing I can imagine he is getting his panties in a wad about.

I tasted it. Its meh. But if I have a McDouble from McDonalds, I know its 390 calories and 23g protein. Sometimes I order two and put all 4 patties on one bun! Thats when I'm on call. My only fast food usually.

frick three day weekend call for the operating room!

Cheat meals are one thing, preaching eating fast food burgers as fine to get into shape is another. If you're going to eat a burger, don't get one from a fast food joint, and don't double up the fat content by getting a double cheeseburger like you suggested. There's absolutely no reason to eat all that awful fat, and it is awful.

I eat burgers and that type of thing all the time. Like you said, hit your macros. But eating burgers from Burger King and ice cream in an effort to hit your macros is asinine.

He has recommended Shakeology, which you can choose to buy or not. It works for him. I don't buy it.

I also don't buy cleanses, but it works for him. He's on here talking about what he has done that helps him out. He's not shlepping products.

On the other hand, you are recommending a terrible diet to get into shape, which is both asinine and irresponsible.

And you still haven't shown a picture of yourself to prove your 10% body fat, which I can understand since you eat fricking Burger King on the reg and are probably a fat frick.

Hey Phil it may be a once every 2 month thing.

When you fixing peoples bones, head, bowels, etc on the weekends, sometimes you skip a meal so you have to make up for it.

He's putting words in my mouth about things I never said.

I "preach" about shakeology because I use it and I love it. But I understand it's not for everybody. Hell, my own sister tried it and didn't like it. NBD.

Macronutrients are a real thing, the thing I don't like about IIFYM is that it ignores the micro part. Sure, A burger has 390 calories, 23 g of protein, however many of fat and however many of carbs, but it also has amonium sulfate, calcium carbonate, xantham gum, monoglycerides, soy, and about 1,000mg of sodium.

This shite is bad for you. We know this, it's science. I can think of two articles in the Journal of ACSM right of the back that specifically researched those ingredients and their effects on performance.

Mouton specifically I know has preached about how shitty soy is for you.

I got nothing against having a cheat meal every now and then, but to say you can make shite loads of fast food a cornerstone of your diet as long as it "fits your macros" is just plain misguided.

And I get the being on call and having to suffer through fast food. I was on call last weekend and didn't get a chance to eat from 1200 to 2100. Ended up getting taco bell.

Best thing to do is remember how great it felt to be in shape, to finish a work out and feel completely drained or with a good pump. Those endorphins flowing through you that make you feel like you actually did something today.

It will only take you a week or so to get back into and feeling that way again. Push yourself for a week, and you'll be right back on the wagon.
