The first time through I sort of halfway followed. Second time I followed strictly. After that I knew what I had to feed my body to keep it at it's best so then I just ate clean good food, no crap.
I do every now and then track my calories on MyFitnessPal just to make sure I'm still on track.

Gotcha, did you allow a cheat day or meal every once in a while?

I use this app as well.. Extremely helpful.. I used it while on vacay once...Not a good idea.. really eye opening how many calories one can take in in a 7 day span..

Yeah but only during special occasions like holidays, birthdays, etc.
I also decreased my alcohol intake. I didn't eliminate it, but I stopped buying it and keeping it in my house and only drinking at social functions.

I do the same. I know what to eat and I eat the same stuff everyday to make it easy to keep track of my calorie intake.

Damn, bro. Good job. I hope to get to that point.

Drinking a gallon of water a day helps too.

Just stick to it. Once you get through the first round you will feel weird if you don't do it.

I only drink socially or after a stressful day.. so that's no issue here.

I've completely cut out soda. I will occasionally break and have a diet one, but I can't drink the regular sodas anymore. All that sugar makes me sick.

Is that really your goal right now? Or are you more interested in slimming down? T25 has pushups in it, but you're not likely to add mass to your chest.

so Doc back to me.....I'm 5-11 215 have ate what i want all my life and have maintained 215 for at least 7 years now. I really don't think I'm gaining weight. I guess my metabolisim has keep me at an even kill. Assuming that is the case do you think just doing cardio for 30 minutes a day every week day will cause me to lose some weight, maybe 10 or 20 pounds?

Also, Like I said I cook for the family every night. My rotation is grilled pork loin, grilled steak, grilled pork chops, oven baked shrimp, hamburger steak, spagetti, and grilled burgers from time to time. General sides are rice, mac chees, or mashed patatoes and purple hull peas or corn.

Pretty likely. Doing the same thing for years has put you in something called "steady state" where your metabolism burns at the same rate. The most effective weight loss workouts alter your metabolism slightly so you burn more calories through out your day. American College Of Sports Medicine has been studying the effects of HIIT vs regular cardio for a few years now and they've found that across the board 20 minutes of HIIT is just as or more effective as 50 minutes of traditional cardio. And theres the added benefit of HIIT being intense enough to put your body into a prolonged state of "recovery mode" for the rest of the day. So you're metabolism increases after a workout and you burn more calories then you normally would throughout the day.

To put it bluntly, no. Not even close. Traditional cardio burns very little calories and there is some truth to the calories in, calories out equation. Just doing something like jogging for 30 minutes without altering your diet would take you years to lose 10 pounds.
If you're serious about losing weight, then get serious. Don't half arse it. All you'll get then is frustration, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
