The temp and dew point have gone from 67 to 71 in the past hour in Prairieville.
Instability is increasing quickly now that the warm front has passed.

And the first Tornado warning of the day goes to Texas again.

The low level inflow of this set-up is impressive. This is not a scientific observation but a visual one. I'm watching low-level clouds sweeping very quickly across the sunset horizon.
Winds are southerly at 18 gusting to 25, humidity is 92% and the dewpoint is 73.

Anyone south of the warm front will be under the gun, esp. as the LLJ starts kicking in over the next few hours.

I'm watching the same thing in Thibodaux. Winds have picked up to steady 20 mph with gusts higher.

Scratch that - this is the 2nd edit to those values since I first posted it a couple mins ago:
It's now 72 both temperature and dew point. It's increasing very quickly.

It was slightly windy in NOLA today but now it's calm and without knowing any better I wouldn't think we were going to see any kind of storm at all.

We're getting hammered in Evangeline Parish, just south of Rapides. Direct TV keeps going out.
The whole area is under Flash Flood and Tornado watch tonight.
