OT workout crew: Max heart rate

The formula is supposed to be 220-your age, but if you're hitting that number during your workout, your max is clearly somewhere above that. Is there a better way to calculate it?

I've always read that you want to stay somewhere between 60-80% of your MHR. So if you're hitting your MHR, slow down baw.

Pretty sure that's the standard target max rate. Doesn't mean it will be that for everyone.

this is correct. sustained at 70% for 30 minutes is best for burning fat.
