Ended up costing $520. Didn’t do the chem panel. Wish you woulda posted earlier but it’s ok
I don’t know enough about it, so if they made some money off me then I’ll just chalk it up to shite happens. She’s doing fine now and that’s really all I care about.
Enjoying her antler I picked up today for her. Gets her out of the cone and know she won’t mess with her tail

Glad she’s doing well. It aggravates me that vets gouge people with procedures like this. It deters people from properly taking care of their animals. Try to do the right thing and get bent over a barrel.

Just saw that. You were dead on.
After reading through some of these posts, here are EXACTLY the kind of bullshite ideas that allows vets to get away with this kind of shite.

Get a second estimate of cost but get it taken care of. Price seems fine to me. It's surgery.
Take care of your dog!

Looks like all your post op meds are included. Don't see something particularly out of line. It's a lot to do and do right.
Look at your last pic of your dog an say no. I couldn't do it. Get him squared away.

Oh so sorry for the pup. Blackened area may be necrosis, which means the tissue is dead. If it’s not taken care of, severe and possible fatal infection wil follow. Please take care of your pup, never mind the cost.

..and you’re mad because you have to spend the extra $$?
If a person had to have, say, the tip of a finger removed, it would cost far more than $700.
