Hey I never said they were doing God's work

He is an agent OF the bank/lein holder... He doesn't WORK for them.
It would be crazy to just give some dude about to tow your car a few hundred bucks.

He calmly offered for the guy to come in let him get in touch with the husband and the bank to get it cleared up. He even offered to pay his standard towing fee. Nope dude told him he had heard that one before.

You're pretty worked up over a married chick at work.. She's not gonna leave him, brah.

What do you not understand about this transaction?
The bank/finance company/whatever pays this guy to come back with the vehicle, if he doesn't come back with the vehicle he does not get paid.

Wouldn't touch her, happily married with two kids. She's just a fine lady to work with who is going through a hard time. Bad things do sometimes happen to good people thats not their fault. So you can slow your troll.

Put yourself in the guy's shoes. He's going to waste who knows how much time waiting on your boss to clear something with the bank when he could just take the car in and get paid like normal?

Any man who stops paying the car note and puts his three children without a ride is a POS. Take up for him all you want

Look I know you feel bad for her but it will get taken care of. Yall being there for her I'm sure helps to ease her embarrassment.

Eggzachery. Repo man is a contractor. Does not help him if Bank gets paid. Plus, every deadbeat on the planet has a million excuses and makes every promise in the book, then reneges. Really dumb to rely on an ex-spouse or separated spouse to pay your bills. They have an incentive to cause you pain.

Happened to a co-worker of mine about 10 years ago, except she was single and didn't pay her own bills.
Our VP did the same thing - asked what it would take to get things cleared up. The Repo man calmly proclaimed that wasn't his job - he was asked to pick the vehicle up.
I imagine that's a tough way of earning a living. Getting screamed at, cursed at, having things thrown at you - by people that don't pay their bills.

you don't know that this is true, you are hearing only what she is telling you, and it's really none of your business anyhow

So you saw a man doing his job. That's really all I gathered from your little story.
Maybe your coworker should have made sure the note was paid on the car she was driving and none of this would have happened. Divorce or not, she's employed, and should take some responsibility.

I don't feel sorry for her at all. She got divorced and wasn't "an independent, equal to men etc etc" enough to make sure her car note was being paid. You wouldnt give 2 shits if it were a dude, baw. Tough shite..the repo guy has a hard enough job and did it because he doesn't want to get shot/hurt etc.
