Slight spinoff from the wedding party $ thread

I was in a wedding 2 weeks ago that cost me about ~3k from start to finish. and it was well worth it. You cant put a price tag on fun.

Isn't spending money on good times with friends what fraternity guys do? So why does the OT support spending money for friends' weddings/bachelor parties/suits/tuxedos/etc. but knock down spending money for 4 years of football tailgates, house parties, semi-formals, formals, bus trips, etc?

You don't have to blow an active to stand in your friends wedding.

People shouldn't worry about what others spend their $ on. That's the bottom line.

False. Most people put a price tag on fun every year when they budget for a vacation.
