I don't do powetball or any lotto personally but, what kills me is the people who wait until it gets huge to play. As if the 90 million a few weeks ago wasn't enough to entice them or get their white trash out of debt. No, wait until it's 400 mil when you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning en route to buying your ticket than actually winning it.

pretty sure there is still a better chance of that at 90 million too

Since the odds don't change, it's just simply too much to pass up.

Sure 90 million would be life changing, but I'm not going to play every week. Once or twice a year is fine.

You have the same chance at 1 mil and 500 mil.

More chance of splitting at higher payouts though

It's not like they change the amount of balls in the bin
