it's pvc, so it's easy to patch. carve a plug that will fit, clean the hole and the plug, then use pvc glue. wipe a goodly amount of pvc glue inside and out.

if you want to be precise, use a plug cutter to make the plug. LINK

if you want belt and suspenders, get a piece of pvc pipe to match the shape, cut a small patch and glue it on the outside.

it will never leak.

I guarantee it can be easily patched with that 2 part repair putty like Loctite. The one in a tube that is grey on the outside and black on the inside.
cut off roll it around till its one color press in and wait. I would be careful to no push t so far that it will protrude and cause a hang up.

I wouldn’t want to button up everything and then find out a month later that I have a problem. My advice is to fix it the right way now.

Buy a black rubber coupling boot with clamps. Cut the coupling lengthwise so you can get it around the pipe. Put the clamps on and tighten it. That pipe isn’t pressurized like a supply line.

On a simole gravity fed NO pressure pipe? frick no, just patch it from the outside...my God, this is so simple I can believe this is 4 pages

OP, are you a complete moron?

That is what I was thinking. I contacted the plumbers who did the work to take a look - they're good people. It's really going to depend on overall cost.

Ummmmmmm, this is not going to work. The outside of the pipe with the hole will have a larger radius of curvature than the inside of the patch piece of pipe. To go with this idea, you'll need to find a piece of pipe that has an inside diameter equal to the outside diameter of the piece you drilled. Good luck with that. If you get lucky with that, buy a few lottery tickets while you are out.

Did you notice the part where I mentioned the glue, OR how bout the part where I had him prepatx the hole with silicone?

Look ,dumbass engineer, it's is a NO pressure pipe using gravity only. A large was of silly puddy would basically work.

But, the hole is only 3/8" so he would only need a piece 1" square. IT WOULD TOUCH ON ALL SIDES
