There were a lot of mixed response on yard work.

Do y’all detail y’alls own vehicles or pay the points to do it?

ETA. I do my own

So you let someone else do it? Got it.

Just did a 2 step paint correction on my car last week. Throw in a glaze, sealant and condition the interior.

Cost me about 6 hours on a lazy Sunday. Better than paying 500+ for someone else to do it

Detail? I wash it with $5 car soap and a water hose and call it good

Niether....I take it to one of those $10 car washes, vacumn the inside, clean the windows, and I am done. I spend $10 and it takes 20 minutes max. The days of me spending a whole day soaking wet cleaning a vehicle are over.

I used to and really enjoyed it from a hobby perspective. However, I will never do it again on a daily driven vehicle. I hate having to worry about a car that’s just an appliance.

When I get a fun car and a garage, I will absolutely detail it myself.

It takes 10 minutes to wash with a hose. Another 15 mins to vacuum. That’s good enough for me.

I hand wash mine at a car wash and have it done at Benny's about once per year.

Who has time to detail their car?

That’s something you pay someone to do.

I’ll cut my own grass and do the edging, but I’m not doing car shite too.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no

If it is a slow day and am in the mood, yes. Don't mind doing it.

Pay

Same with yard work, if I have free time washing my truck isn't what I'm gonna be doing with it

I hand wash my car once every two weeks and follow it up with a fresh wax. I usually have two buckets filled with special soap just for cleaning cars and water, one for the rims and one for the body. After that, I throw some tire shine on her.

If you drive your car through an automated car wash, you're a lazy piece of shite and you deserve to have the warn out, scratched up, paint on your car in the near future.

ETA: Here's a short educational video on why to never drive your car through an automated car wash from a professional

I will never do better interior than the black people carwash that sits right where the hood meets the rest of town. $100 or so. Just clean out all your stuff first
