That's a great truth, Pepe.

I should've seen it coming. I spend all day long with emotional, hormonal teenagers who all believe that they're the center of the universe. My home is no different. I guess that it was just nice to vent.

My son dated his best friend's sister for a year. They broke up. No drama between my son and his best friend. None between the best friend and his sister either, as far as I know. It helps that the girl goes to an away college, though.

now constant drama at home between my son and daughter because my daughter's friend is now my son's GF first and foremost and her friend only part of the time. It's resulted in tons of jealousy and rage between two of my three kids.

You think its bad now, just wait until the two break up!

Threesome

Looks like the OP made a good decision soliciting advice about his teenage daughter on the O-T. I could not imagine this going any other way. I am a little surprised I had to scroll down more than 2 posts to see this however.

Let them work it out with little interference. This is how kids develop social skills

This is the correct answer.

If they are/were as close as you claim they will be fine.

They're not in middle school. They're in high school.

My niece and nephew are in high school, and oh my God. If one of them has a boyfriend or girlfriend they are together daily. I can see where the same sex friends get pissed off. Boundaries people. Its like these kids are married after going to Homecoming together.

But talk to your boy, tell him to cool his jets. The girl is probably completely unreasonable and any conversation would end in you being accused of being and a-hole by your spouse.
