Any body on here use StrongLifts? I've been doing it for about 2/12 months now and have gained 10 lbs.

It's a great program.

I would not switch so soon. As long as you are making strength gains, stay with it.

The app is really good now.

5x5

a) Squats/bench/row

b) Squats/overhead press/deadlift (1x5)

Alternate workouts. 3 days lifting per week. Constant progression. If you fail at a weight on three consecutive workouts in a row you de-load.

Yeah that app is great. I spent the 10 bucks to get the warmups and accessory workouts. I love it. I used to just warm up 12-10-8 then 5x5, but I was working to hard. Now I warmup how it says, and I have more energy for my 5x5. Okay thanks, I'll see how I feel after next month.

The first time I did it the app SUCKED. It's really good now. And I am in no way an expert like Bengal, Sabi or some of these other monsters. But Stronglifts is great for a guy that just wants to get stronger and feel better without spending 12 hours a week in the gym.

Yeah I've really enjoyed it. Sometimes I think "Squat again?? Ugh", but then I do it and feel great afterwards. I'm not very big either, and always been a ectomorph. When I lift for 3 or more months in a row I can see some great gains, but if I take a break I lose it all.

This program has really helped me with a knee I had ACL surgery on. I was always afraid to squat heavy in fear of injuring it, but I've been powering through and the recovery time has been easy. Went from squatting 115 to 210 now.

That's perfectly fine. I often rotate between 2-3 machines or bench and if one is taken, I'll do an alternate exercise. I'm not in the gym to get all big and swole. I'm in there to elevate my heartrate and keep muscles in decent shape/density.

Is that a fricking guy? Is something wrong with him? Not making fun? Serious inquiry.

My 9 yr old is a little pussy and could squat 115. How's this possible?

Thanks, I'm thinking I'll be two plates in maybe another 2 weeks. I'm excited for that day.

And you find yourself wanting to do more dead lifts I bet. It's very rewarding from a physiological standpoint.
