Give me the quick skinny. Surgical pain, PT, recovery, etc. How long until you were walking around like a normal person? How much better is your quality of life?
Got mine scheduled for later this year.

My dad got both of his replaced and was walking pretty soon after and said it was the best decision he ever made and wished he had done it sooner.

Good friend got his replaced in 2019. He says he wish he'd done it sooner. He was a big baw that played OL in college. I watched him struggle just walking around streets in Europe, and now he's perfectly fine. Don't recall the recovery time.

I had both knees done at the same time, the first week I regretted doing both, but after week two, it got much easier, and glad I did both.
If you need both done, I suggest doing one first, unless you’re ready to push trough it…
First week sucks, problem is the range of motion in your knee, you basically have to break it in, for lack of a better term. As time goes on, it gets easier, especially after week two.
It’s hard to get a comfortable nights sleep the first week. Take the pain meds, makes it easier.
In house PT will have you walking the day of surgery, it will be easier than you think because you’ll still have some anesthesia on board, second day will be a little harder, third day is hardest, most of the anesthesia is gone.
First week of PT, can be tough, but stick with your routine, it does get easier.
I was back to work after 10 weeks..
Long story short, first two weeks suck, but after that, it gets easier… Be patient, don’t rush anything and don’t get frustrated, with time, it gets easier…
