They never did get the movie version of Greggs book back on track. Damn shame. Was a good read.

You read Duane's daughter's (Galadrielle, I believe) book called Please Be With Me? Absolutely fantastic.

I thought After the Crash was pretty good.

Did not know that existed. I'll watch it this evening.

It is a British documentary if I remember correctly. It is on Amazon Prime.

There's another one on there now called Duane Allman: Song of the South. It wasn't on there the last time I looked, but I saw it just now.

Is that on Prime?

I got my buddy's baby mama to include Duane as part of their son's name. To say I am a fanboy is an understatement.

Yeah. It is there. They also have alot of live stuff.

Prime TV is underrated as far as music related stuff. I make it a point to check ever so often to see if they have gotten any Townes stuff up. They never do, though. All of that stuff, like Heartworn Highways seems to be tied up in legal disputes.

There's a Blaze Foley docudrama that I wouldn't mind seeing. I just haven't got around to finding yet.

A savvy man might be able to find it on a torrent.

Can't remember if I saw that on Netflix or Prime. Should probably watch it, since whoever decided to produce and direct had to have done it out of love - it's not like anyone who isn't a country nerd knows who Blaze is.

Must not have been a friend of mine. Listening to Prine is a rite of initiation for any HempHead friend. Also a litmus test for any woman I see.

I stumbled across him accidentally when down a TVZ rabbit hole on YouTube once. It was "Clay Pigeons", I'm sure.

A friend of mine went to a screening of the movie Blaze, hell...probably a year or more before it came out. I had forgotten about it until recently.

What did you make of Isbell and his wife turning in their CMA memberships in protest of there being no John Prine tribute at the awards show?

There was supposed to be a Guy Clark biopic (or maybe documentary?) at SXSW this year, but that shite obviously didn't happen.

It's the fricking CMA. Did anyone really expect them to honor Prine, Walker, or Shaver? Not like the dip-drip addled baws cruising along in the squatted F-250s know or give a damn. On part of Isbell, I think it's just a bit of a virtue-signalling deal for hardcore fans. I get it, but he didn't risk anything at all and stood to get some brownie points.

That is a very strange situation all around. It looks like it will be great, but I haven't been able to find an single official mention of it since they scrapped the SXSW premiere plans.

I think it is a very good choice to do it from the Guy/Susanna/Townes love triangle angle.

They didn't even mention him. How much effort would it have taken to just mention that he passed.
