Is there a site other than VRBO or Brett Robinson that you guys have had success finding condo rentals in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, or Perdido Key?

Between those two, you will have just about covered the markets. If you are looking for good deals over the next four weeks you are shite out of luck.

Yeah, I'm quickly realizing that and some people are really proud of their places @ $500+ a night.
Wondering if I could pick up a place that is not rented at the last minute, thinking that owners would rather rent it at a discount versus it going empty.

Good luck. According to a few people I know who own condos down there, this might have been the strongest summer ever for rentals.
You might find something last minute, but I think you will have to work VRBO like crazy.

I'm here now because my uncle couldn't make it. They paid 700 a night for outs which is crazy. Impossible to get a good deal around this time.

You can find better deals, better beaches and better golf in Ft Morgan; try Martinque, Beach Club and Kiva Dunes. I live in Orange Beach and if I had a choice, that's where I would stay.
