wish I received all of these pay benefits you keep writing about on here. I get paid for what I work.

So you work 4 on 4 off and don't get paid over time(at least 4 hrs extra for call-in) for anything you work when called in? And you don't get 1.5 for holidays?
Sounds like you boys are contractors and not Union employees along our beloved corridor

Yes I do. You're wrong. I'm right. It's sad how raped we are by Union labor.

She's only 4 years old, you looking?

That's fricking sick and will get you on that predators list.

Better watch out.

No you didn't.

I don't know if there is a 12 step program for what you have, but if they do, you should seek help from them.

One day at a time.

You need to get up to speed on Union labor contracts. Namely USW

Sounds like you might need to get up to speed on union contracts. What USW plants are paying their operators $25 an hour?

I don't know why you're so upset about it. Are you jealous? Did a plant worker steal your girl?

The plants know it happens and they let it happen. If they really cared, they'd crack down on it. What's it to you if they make as much money as they can? They still have to work a frick ton of overtime to see significant increases in pay.

Are you blind? Yes! Kids come out of college with engineering degrees and they get that 70k a year job and promised six figures after 2 years. Then they see GED earning operators earning that. It's on par with the 15/hr mcdonald's demands. It's bullshite and nothing will change until Unions are gone.

My dad is a non-union plant operator. I can assure you its not an enviable position. He is 62 years old and worked 1,000 hours OT last year. He is trying to hold on until retirement, but he gets worked like a dog. Those engineers may think they're jealous, but they're not.

I work 7and7. I don't get 1.5 on the holiday, I don't get 4hour callout. When I'm called out it's for a 12hr shift.

I don't get any of those benefits you write of.

I love everyone here. Sorry about that tone.

But frick those contracts I tell ya. I saw the results first hand. Ask yourself why Midwestern white folks are Democrats? Unions. Plain and simple.

We average around 600 a year. It's not too bad. Most of the the guys working all the time are divorcees paying ungodly amounts of child support.

We get 1.5 for call in and triple time on holidays, but we also have hardly any overtime. Only overtime is by call outs or vacations. Other than those rare occasions, it's straight time.
