Salmon, this is another that apparently doesn't get it, even though you say everyone does.

First reply to what? The very first post is referred to the OP. The is basic internet stuff.
And everything after the OP are replies. It is basic stuff.. but anyway..

The post implies that Japanese Americans were not put into concentration camps.
It's wrong.
I, and everyone else, knows what he was trying to say, he just said is poorly.
Okay, gotcha. Senseless to argue when you actually understand the meaning of the post though, even though it was poorly worded.

Well, you say everyone gets what that post was saying, but slack clearly didn't.
Slack got it.
But you couldn't even admit it was worded poorly, and neither one of you was going to let the other win.
Thus...pages.

Like one person has done that, and it wasn't til very late in the thread.
It's what kept it going after you and slack gave up

:sigh:
The statement is literally wrong.
You honestly believe MJ doesn't know what he was trying to say?

Don't you think that it's i am Dan that doesn't get it?
Look, I'm being pedantic to a certain extent. I understand what that first response was trying to convey, but you have to dig in your heels when people start getting their backs up and refuse to stop and think about what was actually written.

Obviously not since he kept trying to use it as an example.

You yourself agreed anyone with half a brain got it. Why are you now not agreeing with that? It's Ok to just admit slack was shitposting.

No it's not. We put Japanese Americans in internment camps (truth), but we didn't starve them to death and haul their bodies out on carts (truth).
How can you argue this?
Am I a bit too high to be involved in this bullshite?

That's another way to describe it I suppose.

Dan, brother, it was just pointed out to you a few posts ago. Is your short-term memory that bad?

Because I called him stupid for being stupid and telling him his shtick of doing exactly what he did in this thread (and others) is retarded?

While watching Karate Kid last week, I got on Wiki and learned that Pat Morita was an internee at a camp.
So was George Takei.
And these guys 442nd RCT the most highly decorated unit in U.S military history. They were mostly recruited out of internment camps and their parents were still there. 21 Medals of Honor were awarded to men in this unit.

I'm out. This whole argument is stupid, and I'm usually very argumentative.
I will agree that Lunch and Slack fricked everything up.

so...you like take this seriously then?

The thing is education and the horror caused by the German Final Solution changed the perception of concentration camps to be death and genocide camps.
So while they were are still an important tool for warfare and logistics. The common use of the term is going back to the European Undesirables experience at German (and French) hands.
So you can be a dick about it or realize that while we sold out the Japanese Americans literally. We also didn't have a plan other than keeping agents from sabotaging, directing raid targets like in the blitz. And not the extermination of every slant eye on the western seaboard. Which is the fricking point.
