holy shite, you’re gonna try and liken DOTD workers to linemen fixing the power grid? I know you work for DOTD, but your group is one of the biggest reasons our roads and bridges are utter shite to begin with. And to compare the abortion that is your efforts at anything- from routine maintenance of our highways to contra flow in emergency situations- is an insult to the efficiency, determination, and professionalism of the others you listed. I praise everyone who helps in a disaster and don’t resent the special attention anyone receives. But some of these people you named, like DOTD and Lineman are getting paid overtime to help. These Cajun Navy guys are spending their money and using their own equipment.
The real problem here is YOU. You need to figure out why you resent the attention they get so much.
