Broken ribs only painful for a cpl of days?

Even Lionheart wasn't that tough with his injured ribs.

The amount of painkillers it would require for me to play QB in the NFL would have me seeing triple.

A cortisone shot doesn't knock that shite out. I guess there's something to just numb that area like Bud Kilmer gave his players that don't frick you up, but the thought of throwing a football with broken ribs, much less taking a shot from a NFL LB makes me hurt.
