Pretty sure I want a Speedmaster but haven't decided on Hesalite or the Sapphire sandwich. I like the vintage look of the domed hesalite over the thick border and flat sapphire but like the scratch resistance of the sapphire plus the exhibition caseback.

Has anybody with a Hesalite had very bad issues with scratching? Are there any aftermarket casebacks for the omega if I decide to get hesalite?

Also can't decide on the new 3861 or go with older 1861.

Hesalite is inferior and the only reason people buy it is for the "vintage", don't @ me

I am drawn to the “sapphire sandwich.”

These types of watches are so much cooler than those apple and Samsung watches.

If you go on omega forums they'll tell you scratches buff out of the hesalite easily. You can also get an aftermarket sapphire case back and have the best of both
