So it gets moved to BFE where a bunch of sawmill workers are on the jury staring at rich college boy. That may be a little better for him but not a whole lot.
I’m trying to think of any venue within a 3 hour radius that he could possibly get off. The ghettos of Jackson won’t work because of who he is as a human being. The Delta as a whole despises kids like him even without the murders. Anything within an hour is too closely tied with Oxford to where if any Oxonian gets a whisper on who is on the jury, there’s a friend of a friend related to that juror. Even if it’s in the radius of Starkville, they won’t put up with that shite either. Tupelo or Corinth are the only venues I’d give in the single digit percentages of him having a non-biased jury.

Are y’all just ratting yourself out and not realizing it? How do you think they figured out who you were IRL?
Probably things or stories I've posted on here that I've told him. You sit in a cube next to someone for years and they eventually know a lot about you.
I don't really care that much. I generally try not to be a big a-hole to people IRL or on TD

Where would they change the venue? Anywhere within an hour of Oxford will still feel the town’s wrath.
They didn't change the venue for the Jessica Chambers trials but the jury for both trials were from another County. Pike County (McComb) for the first trail and Oktibbeha County (Starkville) for the second trial.

Some of the posts in this thread are truly embarrassing. Then people wonder why retards like darryljames say the shite they say about the OT.
People stick up for people they can identify with. Doesn't matter if the person was a huge POS or not. Idiots are tribal.

I would be pissed if I not only had to be on a jury but they bussed me to another town. Let's do as much as we can to inconvenience the only parties with no skin in the game.

I hope the jury is from Starkville. That would be fantastic.

Or if you were sequestered. Im 41 and I've never been called for jury duty. I'm almost curious at this point. My luck I'd get a case like this.

They’ll bring in a jury from another county. Likely Madison, Rankin or Harrison. Those are the three counties outside an hour radius that are most demographically like Lafayette.

Likely Madison,
Even better than Starkville. Would be my #1 choice after an Oxford jury.

I've been called a couple of times but they cancelled it once and the other time picked the jury before they got to me. My brother was picked to serve on a federal grand jury. They had to meet a few days a month for something like 6 months or a year

Jury duty is one of the quickest ways to lose all faith in our CJ system. I've had the unfortunate duty a couple of times and it's terrifying how the average person is swayed by emotion and lacks common sense.

My dad was selected as the jury foreman in a relatively well known murder case. He said most of the people on the jury were morons.

My dad lived in a relatively large city and had a job and generally interacted with a lot of different people on a daily basis. He said most of the people were morons.

I suppose it is a reflection on the local population.

My dad was looking over my shoulder and reading some of the posts on TD. He said it looks most of the people on here are morans.

Anyone on a jury can be manipulated the attorney just has to decide first whether they are trying to convince the largest number of jurors or those with the biggest force of will unless they overlap heavily.

Lafayette is 72% white. Madison is eliminated

I have no idea. I also have no idea if it’ll be granted. But they’ll ask and if they don’t get it moved it’s one more piece of ammo when they appeal.

I really don’t see why a black jury is really any sort of advantage here. Theesfeld is the embodiment of the worst of privileged white culture. Ally is simply middle class. Like if you got a jury from the Delta, good fricking luck trying to paint him as an outstanding citizen. They were raised around massive wealth inequality that is pretty much on another level from the rest of the country where they loathe people like Theesfeld. Farese doesn’t want a jury from there either.
