I listened to the podcast Still 400 with Juvenile and Mannie Fresh and have learned why music sucks today. First, when they made albums in the 1990s and early 2000s they would have 5 or 6 people working on the content of the album. 5 or 6 people bouncing out ideas and it was a true collaboration and to be featured in songs on someone's album you had to put in the work. You had to contribute to the album. Its the reason lil wayne had a version on Back dat arse up.

Seriously, its a decent podcast to listen to if you like to hear about the inner workings of the music industry.

The first verse on the song was the last verse added (well lil wayne's verse was, but it was added to the original) because they couldn't agree on whether it needed another verse. Juvenile was like what you want? Something like.. and he rapped "girl you working with some arse yeah" and mannie fresh told him to add to that, because that was the opening version they needed..

The song still fly was a song wrote just joking around that Mannie Fresh created a beat for and no one thought it should go on their album. Birdman told him nobody would even know what he was saying... people having stuff in their momma's name. Birdman didn't believe him at first when he told him that people really do that. But it was a "have fun" song... But I think it is interesting how songs come together.
