Why not just exercise and eat less?

When you loose weight rapidly you develop telogen effluvium, basically early shedding of hair.
Don't know why people downvote without at least checking this theory???
quote:
Telogen effluvium is a common, temporary form of non-scarring hair loss characterized by diffuse shedding, typically occurring 2–3 months after a physical stressor. Weight loss, particularly rapid or severe loss (defined as approximately 15% of body weight or 3.5 kg per month), is a significant trigger for this condition.
The shedding is primarily caused by nutritional deficiencies and caloric restriction associated with dieting, which the body perceives as metabolic stress. This stress forces hair follicles to prematurely shift from the growth phase to the resting (telogen) phase, resulting in the loss of up to 300 hairs per day compared to the normal 100.

Eating less & eating healthier doesn't cause hair loss.
Seems like a more intelligent option than Ozempic.

I take a GLP-1 for diabetes. The weight loss is a huge plus, and not having to take insulin is a blessing. I do have the hair thinning. Trying to get more protein in my diet due eating much less now. Using whey protein and Quest protein bars.

Losing your hair is much better than being fat.
It is a toll you pay for salvation.
