I like this version of Cena. The "I'm the man, beat me if you can" Cena.

He's way better at this character than Roman is, and its his natural fit.

When he panders and plays it up babyface, he sucks.

It's well known that Cena was supposed to lose to the Nexus but he overturned the call. He ended up beating 3 of them by himself in the survivor series match and killed their aura. Edge and Y2J both thought it was a terrible idea and Cena eventually agreed.

i believe they refer to this part of the match as the part where the heel gets heat on the babyface

All that was said was Cena wanted to get DDT'd on the floor and come back and beat a couple Nexus members, making the Nexus members look weak. I don't know if it's well-known that Cena made the decision to beat Nexus. He just made a bad decision on how it would be done. I'm pretty sure that's all Jericho and Edge said.
