what if this whole thing is a distraction to get attention off of the Crimean fiasco in the Ukraine?

Yeah that military report about it being in the strait was fishy all along. The information was inconsistent and didn't make sense.

seem kinda close on google map. If Azid's time is a little off, he could have seen it first as it descended towards Bachok.
Agree, also why did the military take 3 days to reveal the plane crossed to the west of Malaysia?
This doesn't add up at all. I think we have different motives going on here. You would think it would take 20 minutes to review the military radar to see what happened to the plane and then report this to the news outlets. Naw, let's sit on it for 3 days, come on.

Ding ding ding. But I'm a conspiracy theorist

So, we are back on the east side of Malaysia again?
I happen to believe the fisherman.

This looks less and less like a theory every day.

The Russians crash a plane just to create a diversion? That's absurd.

It's impossible that the plane could've crashed into the water without breaking into at least 2 or 3 large pieces IMO
The plane will stay intact unless they were going nose down or on its side. The planes are designed to land in water. The time it takes to sink varies. It could be instant to about 4 or 5 hours

Lol I meant it never crashed.

I think the military made an honest mistake. It's easy to confuse radar contacts, with thousands seen daily.

I believe the fisherman too, I knew someone had to see it with the crowd of surface traffic there is out there.
Posted on 3/11/14 at 10:40 pm to gsvar2004
I think it's even harder to believe that someone could plan to make a plane disappear like this... And actually succeed.

So now the Malaysian military "unable" to release any data. Is this part of them back tracking and not wanting to admit fault?

Governments these days can do a lot.

I could understand something like this happening in the 50's or 60's but this is the 21st century with satellites, gps, and indestructible black boxes. We have no transponders or clue of where this plane went down and now the military says it went west of Malaysia then comes back and says never mind?
WTF is going on here?

Mistakes happen, if they just picked him up on radar theres no way of telling who it is. All you get is a return telling you something is there. They could have easily gotten this confused. Spend 12 hours watching a radar screen and you will understand. There is still human error involved.
ETA: Thats where having the transponder on would have helped. Picking up their IFF tells you exactly who it is and what altitude they're at
