I cannot believe this story has completely captivate the nation and the 24 he media for this long.

Like there's nothing more important domestically or internationally. I wonder what our government is doing right now?

Who knows? Who cares? Some plane went off course!

I think that only CNN is all Flight 370 all the time. MSNBC might have a segment or two on it, and Fox might have a bit more, but CNN is truly all in on this.

Well for starters, nearly 250 people are probably dead.

The long lasting story is not that a plane went down, but it's apparent that some group has hijacked the plane. Nobody knows where the plane is, or what is the purpose of the hijacking. Is the plane going to be used again as a weapon of mass destruction? Or is it crashed in the bottom of the ocean?

This is a pretty, big deal.

Yep.
But if plane really did crash in the Indian Ocean, what are investigators going to glean from wreckage? The voice recorder is useless, at this point.

You're correct. Fox has been busy backing Putin as a model leader who should be emulated by Obama

And cnn is full on tin foil hat cult conspiracies

Our country has literally gone full retard

Pretty sure it was bluefin and it's somewhere between pages 50-100

Although so much has changed since then we would likely have to do it over, the Indian Ocean wasn't even an option really

I know id like to change my prediction

More people have died with less coverage many times, so I don't buy that

Tin foil my arse.

This plane did not experience some "run of the mill" crash. It didn't explode in the sky, it didn't suffer electronic failure, it didn't have a "depressurization". If any of those things had happened, radar readings would have told us exaclty where to look for this plane. When other planes crash over the ocean, it may take a few days to find the wreckage, but officials know that the plane is down, and the general vacinity of where it is located.

This plane abruptly quit communicating, someone turned off the plane's tracking devices, and then it disappeared from the radar systems of all nations in the area.

Something wicked this way comes!

Yea, but there is nothing like getting on a plane that hits home with most Americans. Most of us can't really relate to the fighting in Egypt or any other form of mass murder/death.

Without the voice data, I'm just not sure how much the data recorders help if plane was hijacked or pilot suicide.

well, there is possibly a very large plane in the wrong hands that could be used as a weapon.

or it is just in the ocean somewhere.

A weapon to what? As soon as this plane resurfaces any where near the coast of any nationstate we'll either get in contact with it or shoot it down. It's not like it can fly undetected into American territory. We're not talking about some kind of hijacked stealth fighter jet here.

This point is understandable but it doesn't excuse the news networks. Putin being a frickhead should be huge news. Buts it's not. The only people who talk about it is fox and they are praising him for christ sake.

Unless we find out that an alien abducted this plane and zapped it into outerspace the conclusion of this thing is going to be boring and disappointing to a lot of people.
