WWE needs stars. They need people with the look and can make you give a shite. You think people bought into Austin, The Rock, Cena, Orton, and so on and forth because of their wrestling acumen? Absolutely not. They had the look and they could get people to invest emotionally, they had that pull.
There’s a reason why The Miz has been around for 15 years and almost always relevant while guys like Ricochet, Aleister Black, and Shelton Benjamin are footnotes.

People shite on Riddle and Priest and while I don’t believe they are Franchise guys, at least they are solid Tier 2 guys - think DDP/Booker T 96-98 level guys.
