Is anyone surprised? Rush Limbaugh pointed out their hypocrisy in the late 80s when "the homeless!" was the vapid celebrity cause du jour. Martin Sheen was the honorary mayor of Malibu and declared the city a "homeless sanctuary". Rush was going to transport busloads of homeless to Malibu to take them up on the offer. Needless to say, Malibu residents freaked out over this prospect much in the same way Martha's Vineyard did about illegals.

I agree that New Yorkers should be forced to open their doors to illegals. They voted for open borders it in the city, state, and federal level. They elected the politicians who’ve declared their city as a “sanctuary city”. They’ve elected congressmen and a president who work tirelessly to make sure our border is wide open to whomever whomever wishes to enter our country. Time for these people to pony up and put their money where their mouth is.

They wanted open borders? They got ‘em.

They wanted New York City to be a sanctuary city? They got it.

Now let them live with the consequences of their decisions.
