I'll agree that he walked away the last time, but your characterization is less than accurate. He walked away, then turned and walked back towards the guy right before the fight, while still engaging the situation.
This was nothing but trash being trash on all parts.

i've come to the conclusion some of yall are just pussies.
all the betas are in here trying to say that the NY guy didnt deserve to be beaten like that.
shite, NY guy is lucky he aint dead. Trucker could have gone way beyond his actions and still had an argument for self defense.

No, he walked over 60 feet away and stood his ground as they guy came and attacked him. as the attacker closed the distance he took 1 step toward him squaring his shoulders. You can clearly see the spot on the red painted handicap ramp where he stopped and the spot 1 step off of that ramp where he was hit.

Well, considering I've gone over a quarter century with never even putting myself in that situation, nor ever even having the threat of it, I can't tell you what I would do.
I'll tell you I've just flat out walked away from some potentially volatile situations before they escalated, but some people in this thread can't grasp that the Taxi driver re-engaged FOUR DAMN TIMES.
