NOVA - Polar Extremes: Global warming, did we save ourselves from an ice age?

Watched the Polar Extremes show last night and thought it was really good. In the end though they concluded that the CO2 in our atmosphere is causing dangerous warming...but that we’re in an unusually cold period with ice on both caps.
Makes me think that humans may have helped to avoid a terrible freeze by burning up all the hydrocarbons we have. That was forward thinking...now, can we figure out how to STOP the earth from changing temperature more than say a few more degrees? I like it hot, but not too much.
Cool show nonetheless.

I’m not doubting that 410 ppm of CO2 is bad for us, or that we contribute to that. Why would I?

Man, it's a good thing they came up with this hoax to scare away the cold! Now on to the main event: shaking down tax payers in the U.S.

The hoax is the the American Democrats can save us.
It’s pretty clear that when the globe has warmed up it’s done so quickly. We look to be in one of those upticks. Still, we’re on a ‘cold’ planet right now, and fairly far from a hot house environment.

You do realize that 410 ppm is four hundredths of one percent (.042%) of the entire earth's atmosphere.

Yes, and there’re many ways to study what it has been historically.
I understand they are spinning a yarn...and volcanic activity seems to be slowing...the truth may be that we need man made CO2 to keep us from freezing...probably all depends on the sun whether that’s the case.
