Setting up house in Mandeville and trying to decide on best internet provider.
Looking for best speed and bandwidth as I plan on going to streaming on all TV’s.
Any positive or negative experiences appreciated.

Do not use Vexus. Horrible company.
Do not ever step foot in Total Wine. Acquistapace’s and Gulf Coast Spirits are locally owned by really good guys.

We're in Deloaks and we have spectrum on the 1 gig fiber plan. True speed is around 300-400 mbps
I steam everything and works good. We tried to get AT&T but was going to get 2 weeks to have them send us the router and they didn't have in store. I went and picked up the spectrum one same day
We got a free phone line for a year too which was a nice little convenience. They're cell service sucks dick though

Spectrum will negotiate on price. I negotiated 1 gig speed total with taxes for $49.99/month but they had so many issues, I switched to Nexxus. I found out later the issue were on my end. My mesh wasn’t working right.
Now, for $59.99 (some special deal) I now have 2 gig speed with Nexxus which includes their Eero routers and I no longer have an issue. It does slow down later in the day some days for whatever reason.
I work from home and Nexxus has been better so far especially uploading. There are no contracts with either company so find whichever is right for your subdivision/you. It’s low to no risk and always push them for a better deal.

I have Vexus and live in a duplex with neighbors who have spectrum. Their internet went out one day and when the spectrum tech was fixing it they cut my fiber before they left so frick spectrum

I've had every available provider in Mandeville from AT&T, Spectrum, Vexus, and even the T-mobile home internet after Ida. IMO, Vexus is by far the best combination of ease to deal with, service, performance, and price. It's atleast the "least shitty"

Charter is good, but it has the traditional cable bullshite customer service and outages. Their field workers are really nice, but you've got to jump through hoops to get them scheduled. It can be maddening.
