Would you want to acknowledge a disaster that you created? Those business didn't fail because of Covid. They failed because the government forced them to either shut down or severely curb their volume.
You are right that it would be a fitting memorial and remind people that politicians will go to any lengths to frick over their political opponents - even if it means destroying the livelihoods of their own constituents.
We are subjects to these assholes. Not citizens.
