So, J.P. Water came to pressure this morning. Samples taken and results take 24hrs to clear.
NOLA water this morning was not at pressure but is now in the clear. Do they just not test, care? Mayor Mitch make it up as he goes?

It doesn't have to be fully pressurized to start testing.

Some conflicting information in some articles (found in comments on nola.com):
quote:
In article from just five hours ago: “Water samples can only be tested once pressure gets back to normal levels, according to Amanda Laughlin, chief engineer of the Louisiana Department of Health. Laughlin said over the phone Friday that samples need to show a minimum residual disinfectant level of 0.5 milligrams per liter at a state-certified lab before the all-clear can be given.”
Now they say: “Bacteriological tests confirmed that water in the area is safe to drink and can be used for personal needs," a statement from the city said. Edwards said water pressure levels are still below normal, but they are rising and stabilized.”
I know in Jefferson Parish, they didn't take samples until the pressure was back to normal.
Do you really trust the New Orleans Water and Sewerage Board?

This. I'd be very hesitant to trust that water; especially seems like they might have skipped a step or two.

I know one thing, the water in Metry smells like a pool there's so much chlorine in it right now..

I trust the Jefferson parish water board over the Orleans Sewage and water board.

Probably a good idea to not trust an agency that Mitch Landrieu is the president of.
