Do you really care if Tyrone kills Jermaine over a $20 crack rock?

I mean, how do you not? If you're Ok with that crime happening, the natural progression is that it moves out of the shitty areas. No one should be OK with that. You can't keep it contained forever. Look what's happening these days.

it was just a yes or no question.....so the answer is yes.

Personally I dont....those poor decisions have consequences. If Tyrone and Jermaine choose to be thugs and drug dealers then that life style has consequences.

It's really not that black and white anymore.

I don't disagree with that. But left unchecked, the violence they have known their whole lives makes its way into the rest of the city. At some point, someone in a position of power needs to care. We clearly don't have that now.

I agree, however, go back and reread what SS posted and for the most part he's right....

Until 40 something year old middle class white men and women and young white kids start getting gunned down in the nicer areas oc the city.....I really dont care what they do in the lower 9th and NOLA East

I also do care about our tourist and locals getting robbed and whatnot in the Quarter..SS was right about that too. I try and stay clear of the Quarter as much as possible..I really wish they would do something to control the crime and the criminal element that has infiltrated that area

For you maybe. More and more people are caring every day since the violence is getting worse for everyone pretty much every day. He'd be right a year ago. He's not right today.

If you don't care about where that behavior is born and learned, you're not going to stop it. The constant expansion of where these crimes take place is proof of that to me. SOmething needs to happen besides ignoring it. That plan clearly isn't working anymore.

Seeing you two turn on each other is weird and I don't like it.

It's like watching my parents' divorce all over again.

I do care, but

Thats like trying to teach a dog to walk on 2 legs...it's never going to happen...it's how they were born...it's their culture

but saying they shouldn't also be concerned about the city sinking into the sea and the causes behind it is foolish.

Climate change/AGW is not the cause of NO sinking. That would be subsidence and compaction, sport.
