Blanket rules for the whole site to eliminate grey areas.

The intrinsically safe aspect is just something to CYA.

Especially when it comes to things like a cellphone. It's a joke.

Realize the chance of picking up even 10% LEL is rare or non-existent.

In the case of an actual release the static from you running in your FRCs is more likely a culprit.

My local gas station demo CD salesman also sells counterfeit inspection decals for my F250 and fake "Authorized Mobile Device User" stickers for my hard hat.

He's right. All of our security breaches must be reported to the Joint Terrorism Task Force of which state and local law enforcement are members. A directive from the FBI regarding terrorism and espionage is enough probable cause for a traffic stop and questioning, I'd imagine.

If it was a real security breach then the driver wouldnt have been allowed to leave. Taking a picture is not on the same level as taking pictures on the level of a security breach for there to be an agency alert.

Are you serious? Where do you work? Is that the Pville Winn-Dixie policy? The driver wasn't even behind a security gate when he took the picture.

Do you know what constitutes a security breach at a maritime chemical facility?

Damn near anything.

Photos. Unattended unidentified vehicles in the parking lot. Leaving the security gate open too long after a truck enters/leaves. The wrong person opening the security gate. Piggy-backing in on someone else's access card. Not being able to produce a TWIC card within 15 minutes of solicitation. Unattended baggage. Verbal threats. Unidentified vehicles driving too slowly down gate roads. Unexpected air traffic. A hole in a chain link fence. Etc, etc.

And they all have to be reported and investigated.

Don't let your incredulity be driven by ignorance.

Most of those under 40 couldn't use it to make a phone call, they don't actually know any phone numbers.
