re: Nissan rouge acceleration problem

We have a murano. It had a defective alternator. Did the same thing. Nissan builds this limp mode in as a supposed safety feature. There are ever all things which could invoke it. CVT problems are one potential cause but there are others. You won't know until you take it in and have someone look at it.

Not sure if it's till the case but I know a few years ago you had to take it to a Nissan dealer because nobody else knew what to do with their CVT transmissions. And yes, they did extend the warranty on them beyond the original timeframes. We've been fortunate in not having CVT troubles (yet) with 110K.

I have never driven a Nissan Rogue, but had a similar problem on 2 other vehicles. I tried using the Cruise to accelerate and that fixed the problem temporarily, it would happen again periodically.

Not saying this is the same problem, but did you try that?
