It's not so bad. In the five years I was there, I never saw a funnel web in the wild. The only time I saw red backs or white tails was when I would be in the garden shed and move something that hadn't been used in awhile. We would get a huntsman in the house on occasion, but they're harmless. We would catch them and put them in the garden.

All you really need to do is bang your shoes together a couple of times before you put them on in the morning, and wear some good gloves when working out in the yard or in the garage and shed.

What I didn't like were the giant flying cockroaches. I know ours can fly, too, but theirs like to fly.
