But we've been down this road before with the NFL. Let the ratings continue to slide and observe what happens

Ratings across the board for sports have been declining for years.

I just did a quick exercise, I googled NFL ratings down 2016, then replaced the year every time up to this year. Every year was declining. I'm not saying social justice stuff doesn't have anything to do with it this season but this idea of ratings declining is nothing new, and the rate of decline isn't significantly greater than it was the other years.

For sure, but sports playing fields are the ultimate in color blindness. The most talented guy will see the field.

Makes sense. Everything you disagree with is insufferable.

The world doesn't revolve around you though, thankfully.

That's what you got out of my post?

i mean you literally said this. Talking about a “black guy”. People not wanting to hear “no lip”, it is has no difference to them whether it’s from a black guy or a white guy.

I skipped because they were expressing a political stance at all.

Exactly.. We turn on Sports to be entertained not to be lectured to regardless of the stance. Leave the political garbage to the politicians and the pseudo new outlets..

I know you didn't watch the games, however other than the pregame stuff there was no lecturing.

Survey

If anyone is interested in telling them how you feel...not that it'll do any good, but I still did it.

You're right. It only matters if they're talking about racism or injustice against black people.

Congrats, your pedantic distinction changed nothing about what I'm saying.

To hunger and hang upon athlete's political takes, is to dine on the dollar menu at McDowell's.

I'd rather some Ruth Chris or Del Frisco..aka Sowell, Chomsky,etc..

Lol @ all the snowflakes In here. “Before the game started they talked about political/racial views I don’t agree with... let me post my complaints everywhere!” The best is people complaining about Thursday nights show of unity. You can tell those people didn’t even see it because they are complaining about kneeling when in reality they all stood together and locked arms. One guy I saw on a post said “if your hand isn’t over your heart it’s disrespectful”

It's funny how the people that loved calling others snowflakes 3 years ago are now the biggest snowflakes of all.

Feel free to point out where I'm wrong instead of clutching your pearls.

Y'all never had issues with salute to service or other political messages. Why this one?

I turned it on the beginning of the game and they literally opened with a man and woman picking cotton and going on about being mistreated. We know history but whites picked cotton too. Everyone on my moms side picked cotton. This seems lost on people.
