Of course they are...it's all over this thread and nobody here has suggested the city will "collapse".

How many people need to say they are avoiding the city out of crime and safety concerns before you believe it? If first hand accounts are not enough individually from people who avoid the city, how many would make it legitimate?

2018 or so had the lowest crime rate in decades and people were avoiding the city and swearing it off for statues or whatever reason.

It's sky screaming and virtue signalling at this point.

People are telling you the reason. You not listening doesnt make it not true.

It was statues then, crime now, liberals next time.

We are tired of hearing the sky screaming more than we are tired of the crime. No one is ignoring it, but life to live and can only do what we can to protect ourselves.

The issues are the same but you're only hearing what you want. Lack of local government leadership and direction concerning tourism, crime and safety concerns. A failing criminal justice system that ignores too frequently people who break the law and when it is acknowledged them doesnt discipline harshly enough to curb behavior. People voice their concerns and are told by apologists that their concerns don't matter and their contributions are irrelevant.

And why is care so much about New Orleans when he’s never lived here nor does he have any financial interest in this city?

Never lived there?
You think you know so much more than you actually do.

You're a fraud my man....on here with an alter personality to make up for whatever your real life is lacking. I get it...you've got a thing for me. I've said stuff thats offended and you just can't let go and you're trying to throw around your Keyboard power.

You're just being ignorant trying to diminish peoples opinions and say they don't matter when they obviously trigger you a great deal.

Those are state and national issues as much as they are local. We aren't doing anything to change those levels either.

TB08 is wondering where Scruffy lives. I’d imagine it’s paradise considering all he does is bitch about NOLA
It could be anywhere and it still wouldn’t be the murder capital of the USA.

Takes a lot to beat out St. Louis, but y’all did it.

I do agree that issues affecting NOLA aren't just regulated to NOLA but there are other places that are dealing with and have dealt with it.

NYC, Vegas, etc.

Nothing here is "irreversible" but acknowledging the prevalence of peoples concerns is the first step. Continually telling people that there concerns don't matter just perpetuates the problem(s).

Why people keep scheduling events there is mind blowing, you are sending innocent people to the lions.

Because the city is set up to entertain & host large events. And it’s easy to avoid the perils over a weekend
