I have just about talked myself into a new truck. I’ve located a new Sierra SLT with a 3.0 duramax

I just posted this in a similar thread a few min ago. I bought the Silverado High Country with the 3.0 Duramax. I absolutely love it and the gas milage is great as advertised.

My last 2 trucks were F150s… no complaints but I was ready for a change. Had a Sierra back in the 90’s. Good truck. Zero experience with Dodge/Ram

I really like the 3L Duramax. Ram has a lot to like from a comfort standpoint. I like the GMC better, but drive whatever blows your skirt up.

Although I have heard that 6cyl hurricane engine is pretty good.

I have the Tungsten model with the 6 cylinder high output Hurricane engine. The low-end torque is incredible. And not that I do this regularly, or even often, but this truck will get up and go off the line. I think it's rated to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, which is impressive for a full-size truck.

And the interior rivals those in the Cadillac or Mercedes territory.

I was not trolling. I’m familiar with the history of the ecoboost engines and I’m familiar with metal shavings issue with the new Tundras. But I’ve never driven a new Tundra and I’m curious how it compares to the 3.5 ecoboost. Not a paper comparison—I can google the specs—but a real world “which one drives better, feels stronger, etc” comparison from people who have driven both.

I currently drive a gen 2 Tundra. I love it but I still get an itch for something new sometimes.
