It’s probably a useful app for some.
…but when we referenced travel ball “culture”, it’s in this thread like clockwork.
“yOu DoNt KnOw shite aBoUt bAsEbAlL”
“STfU”
It’s the vibes of a coach rocking the pencil in his ear after pounding his 5th Red Bull of the afternoon ready to go out and pretend he’s Lou Piniella because it’s “all about the kids.”
are you under the impression i coach? i dont
I do train kids for performance on the side, the weight room side of things and have for years.
your whole gripe with me is that I said if a dad is working with his son daily, he will know more about his sons swing than anyone else. and thats the truth. You seem to be under the impression there are a bunch of HS coaches that are hitting gurus

I don’t have any gripe with you.
I just think it’s funny to see you get so charged up on the travel ball subject. We get it…you know baseball, the rest of us don’t.

na there are plenty here who know more than me about baseball, I know a lot but in game play and strategy there are plenty that know more than me. My expertise lies with movement patterns and how to improve the performance side, things like bat speed, throwing velo, bat path.....mechanical things that are movement pattern based and based on force.

That’s not the issue though… and I don’t want to speak for 777 but the thing that gets under my skin, at least on this board, is that yall take the absolute worst possible stereotypes that exist about travel ball, and then apply them to EVERYONE remotely associated with the sport. It’s honestly very strange that the general public has such an issue with kids who want to play and excel at any certain sport
And don’t get me started on the whole travel ball name shite. It’s BEYOND played out, and not even close to being what it’s portrayed as. I’m currently associated with 2 travel teams. We have ONE ‘Jackson’ and ZERO names that this board fantasizes about.
I would imagine 777’s issue with this board’s take on travel ball is that yall assume that the adults who dedicate their time and energy to this shite are only out there for themselves and their own children. Admittedly, YES, that can be the case for some cheese balls out there, but in my own experiences, those dudes are hard to find, and when they are found, you’ll soon realize that these people who are wired that way almost always find their way out of whatever team they’re on. The majority of the people in this world do it right, believe it or not. And if they’re not doing it ‘right’, I’d be willing to bet that they’re doing it with the best intentions. Remember: not every coach is there because they want to be. Everyone’s situation is different
Long story short, I think the good guys in the travel ball world are sick and tired of all of the worst stereotypes being thrown at them. Until you give up your time and your energy to someone else’s children on a daily basis, maybe keep your stupid arse comments to yourself (not directing this solely at you, FWIW)
Also, please stop tripping over yourselves to be the first one in a travel ball thread to do the whole brayden jayden hayden thing. Get your own material. Try something new
I am officially off my soapbox

pretty much. I guess i get annoyed with the whole travel ball is ruining sports, nobody make you participate..play rec.
The mantra that it makes making the HS team too hard is annoying AF too. So parents are mad other kids are too good? wtf
sure it leaves some of the poorer kids behind....who cares? I pay(so does a bunch of the OT) for my kid to not be around that for school....why would I want my kid around it after school? and if a poor parent wants their kid to play, many teams off assistance if the kid is good enough.
then dont get me started on....the OT screaming about kids dont get outside and play anymore then they get pissed when kids fall in love with a sport and want to practice and play all the time. You cant win with the OT.
and just like the name thing....99% of the time its coming from people that dont even have kids much less kids in sports. They just want to latch on to something to make it seem true
just like the OT has done with the trades vs college thing. No matter how much evidence you provide....they arent changing....they have already made up their mind on it.
perfect example is this product. Dr Crotin takes tech that is only available to MLB level clubs and makes it affordable for everyone.....the ot finds a problem with it. Cant tell you anything about it, but its a baseball app so it much means its for travel ball = bad in the OTs eyes. then they act like its new...shits been out for couple years now, but god forbid someone make a device that keeps kids healthy and advancing...the OT hates that.
If it was up to the OT we would just go back to the 80s with everything. no advances in anything, especially sports.
in the end despite the big talk from the OT...most are poor AF and they are getting left behind and their kids are too and that scares them and pisses them off because it highlights their failures.

Does it come with a discount code for Tommy John surgery at age 14?

actually comes with a 10,000 guarantee towards a TJ surgery if you need one and have been using it 4x per week for a year prior to the injury. So yea
and you realize this is meant to decrease those injuries right?
but you thought you would be cool and edgy and show off to the fatties of the OT and run and make a comment you have no clue about.
