A lot I would think. More diagnosis, less stigma around getting tested, rap music, all kinds of shite. But I don't think everyone said "frick monogamy", that's just over-simplistic logic that feels good to say but doesn't stand up to logic.

Oh yeah you definitely can, that's what happened to my son when we had to take him to the clinic.

A friend of mine is a librarian & came across this tip in an old Christian dating for teens book. Seems relevant.

Social media and smartphones.

Easier to engage in sexual flirtation at younger and younger ages. And once they are sending nudes it's not much of a leap to boning.

Plus the media is sexualizing kids earlier and earlier now.

Hell, teen vogue had an article about how to go about buttsex.

Were you a virgin when you met your wife? I’m asking earnestly.

I think one partner at a time is great. I also think that people have been ruled by their sexual appetites since the dawn of time, so I don’t really trust monogamy to be realistic. People are generally scumbags, so we sort of deserve what we get.

Oh I'm as guilty as the next guy. I was the typical stupid teen looking to mount anything that bled once a month and was willing.

Just like virtually every other teen to grow up in the past 50 years I was taught that it was perfectly normal and even acceptable that I'd have sex when I wanted and with whoever I wanted. Nobody had he right to "judge". It was my body after all, right? That's what we teach kids now and it's what we've taught them for decades. It's fine to have as much sex whenever and with whomever they want. And don't even mention the word "abstinence" or "monogamy" unless you want to be branded as a right-wing nut job.

So no, I was not a virigin when I married 20 years ago. But in the ensuing 20 years I've matured and learned that what we are teaching our youth is dead wrong and the root cause of why our country is going to complete shite.

yeah but on the same note, younger generations are engaging in less sex than older generations

da yoots are using these other methods for sexual outlets and having less actual intercourse

That's the prevailing wisdom of today and it's why STD rates are going through the roof.

Well, let's set aside the obvious one which this thread is about, namely the record breaking STD epidemic

It's actually driven by incredibly high rates of chlamydia. Syphilis and gonorrhea are wayyyyyyyyyy down from their rates in the 80s.

Wow, you must pick losers as mates. Seriously, I have never cheated on any gf or wife . Been married 18 years and I have never had to suspect my wife of cheating.

If my wife would sleep around on me its because ive must have done it first. How my wife us she would send me the video for revenge. Meaning, she is bluntly honest. Maybe im just lucky.

Nice hearts from Google. But you're ignoring one major fact that totally blows your grasp to shite. Did you miss this part in the OP?

quote:

In 2016, Americans were infected with more than 2 million new cases of gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia, the highest number of these sexually transmitted diseases ever reported, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

Did you see the part where the CDC said there are more Americans infected with gonorrhea, syphillis, and chlamydia now than at any time ever? The numbers are not going down, they're going up. Read it again if you need to. Take your time and think it through.

yeah if you look at all the data posted, this is skewed by chlamydia, which is relatively harmless as an STD and fully curable

the rest are going down or staying even

no shite. there are more Americans than at any time ever

total #s are meaningless. rates matter

rates for STDs (except one) are going down or staying pretty even. totals are going up b/c our population is going up

its possible, but fighting those urges is just odd

its why so many married baws here cant wait for their wife to go shopping on the weekends so they can jerk off to some strange.
