New Orleans utilities...

As this rolls into what will be a rough second half of March I am concerned that New Orleans literally will not be able to keep the lights on and the water running.
They city is already short on water operators at the Sewerage and Water Board. Enough of a shortage that extreme use of overtime within the water purification operation is happening. If a lot of these workers cannot or will not come to work will we have potable water or sewerage? These guys cannot keep things working under good conditions.
As to Entergy, the fact that they are regulated by the city of New Orleans(The only city in the United States that separately regulates their power utility) scares the heck out of be. We lose power on a sunny day with no wind so who knows with this event.
We are hoping a city where dead guys are still hanging from a collapsed building do the right thing in keeping these things working. Hard to think it will happen when the folks who hired the people in charge are the same ones who hired to inspectors who did not do inspections.

As is typical I’m sure Jefferson Parish will bail them out.

Everything can be ran by remote.
Joking, we are screwed.
